Recently i found a new playground; called Society6. A new place where i can find tons of amazing artists from around the world showcasing their work and selling it.

So that i join, in hope of increasing my skills and sharpening my imagination again after a long while polluted by the busy city.

Bali day 1: Jimbaran

 
Not everyone have the opportunity of being lucky have a chance for a traveling to Bali; I've been that unlucky person for about 29 years. So that a chance to visit the famous island for the weekend was a great delight.

I met my compadre Ryan Koesuma there, we're both invited as DRS to make a coverage of a show by a pop punk band that got canceled because they were afraid of a travel warning. (which 1 lil super famous boy and an indie pop band aren't afraid of) so that these pop punk outfit with black eyeshadow aren't fit em anymore.

 the first day was spent having dinner in Jimbaran beach.

Comics

Recently I saw a bunch of bundled comics marked as 2 comics in 1 price for Rp.20.000,-.
The promotion made me return to American Comics which I had left for many years (the comics, not graphic novels). And I found it interesting to recall the memories when I spent hours in comic books store trying to find a good bargain for comics.
Buuuut I don't think I'll continue to follow the storyline as I found it expensive to pay Rp.50.000,- for a less than 30 pages story on a new comics on the shelves.
Will try for the bundled/graphic novel series instead.

Relaxing over the day. Wrote a short proposal, cleaning up the room a bit, try to build some mood for a commission illustration.



But the bean bag and ice tea are way too tempting.

 last weekend was fun hanging out with friends at the "I Love Monsters" kaiju exhibition at Plastic Culture. I saw tons of great kaiju toys by collectors that lucky enough to grab em while they can.

All great toys, great design, and made me drooling all day.

I was hanging out at the Tree House in Kemang, been a while since the last time i sipped the Jack D shot.
The place are starting to show some business happening and hopefully will keep on running.

This could be my favorite toys ever, the finishing done by Little Giant are perfect. While of course the sculpture by the amazing Win Satrya of Plastic Culture are beyond amazing.
